About Matt

Hi I'm Matt, I am a serving member of the Royal Air Force with an enthusiasm for all things flight related. When I'm not flying in the real world I can be found honing my skills on my home simulator. I was awarded a fully funded scholarship from the Barrie Smart Memorial Fund in order to complete my LAPL back in 2022. After this I self funded an upgrade to PPL which I passed back in January 2023. I have over 200 hours and am a member of RAF Brize Norton and RAF Lyneham(at Kemble) Flying Clubs. I also fly from a Private Farm strip in a Skyranger Nynja 600. I am checked out on PA28 Cherokee, Warrior and Arrow. I am on here to offer a new experience to anyone who has never flown in a light aircraft or is interested in starting their own flying experience. I hope you choose to experience the joys of VFR flight with me. I have a class 2 medical (valid until 21/01/2027) I have a LAPL medical (valid until 21/01/2027)

1.5-Hour Sightseeing Flight from Kemble

Had excellent communication with Matt after making booking, and he produced a flight plan with where we wanted to view, and was very professional with the preflight checks, radio comms, flying and everything. it was really great to see the local area from the air, its a very different perspective, and the plane was comfortable to be in, and we enjoyed it alot. I would recommend matt, and the experience in general, i feel a desire to go back in the air again :)

Excursion flight from Oxfordshire with michael

First flight in this type. The aircraft is very light but handles very well with good power to weight ratio. I would strongly recommend that this flight for someone who as flown one of the heavier classes such as Cessna and Pipers. Ideal for the novice flyer as well. Very confident pilot who is keen to show you local landmarks. It is easier for someone with mobility issues much better than most. Matt will make sure you have a grand day out.

1 hour Experience from a Farm Strip

A very enjoyable way to spend a morning: a visit to the gliding club at Sandhill Farm and a demonstration of the Nynja aircraft which was very impressive and comfortable. Matt communicated well before the flight, responding quickly to messages, and also during the flight with clear and confident explanations of what was happening. A very good view of the white horse from the air. Thoroughly recommended.

Sightseeing flight from Brize Norton with KEVIN

I wanted to give a 16 year old her first experience of flying in a light aeroplane. Wingly made it so easy. Matt was so encouraging from the outset, and very proactive in making her day special! Letting her join in with both pre and post flight checks made her feel useful and not just a passenger. She thrilled at the manoeuvers they carried out and especially taking 'control' of the aircraft. A day she will never forget.
