It is extremely well located between the major cities in the region of Loughborough, Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. East Midlands Airport (EGNX) offers commercial flights with low-fare airlines such as Ryanair but is also a hub for private aviation and for air cargo. It was the second busiest airport for freight traffic in 2016, behind London Heathrow.
