Diamond Aircraft models

Diamond Aicraft is an Austrian manufacturer that was founded in the early 1980s. First specializing in motor gliders, Diamond continued its presence in light aircraft in the 1990s.

Diamond is one of the few light aviation brands to have created its own engine manufacturer. Austro Engines supplies the engines for almost all Diamond aircraft. The brand's iconic aircraft is the DA40, a four-seat single-engine aircraft inspired by the DA20. The DA40 is an advanced plane, renowned for its relatively easy handling. In fact, it is also a plane used for tourism, and is well-respected by pilots. Most DA40 models are equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics.

The Diamond differs to the Cessna in the sense that it is controlled with a joystick, which some pilots prefer. You will find lots of flights on Wingly in a Diamond aircraft.
