About Charles
Glider and power pilot based from North Yorkshire. I love the great outdoors and having the ability to take it all in from the air. There is no better way see the sites in this amazing part of the world we live in. Within a stones throw there are countless country houses, geographical features, market towns, beautiful cities and landmarks. Four years ago I started gliding from Sutton Bank and immediately got hooked to the thrill of flying. Gliding is undoubtedly the purest way to experience flight, soaring with no engine, just using rising air currents to stay up. Two years ago I decided it was time to get my PPL so went to Spain for a month and a half to learn. I take every flight seriously and dedicate time and effort into ensuring that each and every flight is conducted with a thorough attention to detail and safety. I want to be able to share the amazing experience of flying and for people to go away with a beaming smile...and hopefully hooked like me!

Yorkshire castles and country houses
Fantastic flight, Charles was very professional throughout taking time to explain procedures to me and showing me around the aerodrome afterwards. The route was flexible passing Castle Howard, North Yorkshire moors & Scarborough.

Yorkshire East Coast Sights, including York
We flew from Full Sutton across to Bridlington, then up the coast over Filey, Scarborough and to Whitby. We turned towards Sutton Bank across the North York Moors then on to York and back to Full Sutton. The flight was amazing and Charles flew the plane to enable me to get great photos of everything I asked to see. He was very informative about all the areas we covered as well as the affect the weather was having on the plane and why we lifted or dropped as we crossed the various features. I wou...

Yorkshire castles and country houses
Had a great hour flying over Yorkshire and my home town of Scarborough. Charles was very laid back and also very flexible about the flight, modifying it so that we could fly over my parents home and take pictures. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Even my wife who was very nervous before the flight was soon at ease and thoroughly enjoyed the flight. Manu thanks Dave

Flight to York, Humber and East Coast
Superb early morning flight up the east coast. Charles is excellent going the extra mile to make the experience something to remember. Very informative and showing you the interesting sights enroute. I hope to go again. Simply could not have been better! Thank you Charles.

A flight taking in York, Harrogate, Ripon and Castle Howard
It was my first experience flying in the small aircraft , but unforgettable. I really enjoyed it , and I love to fly again .
