About Neil

Hello and welcome! I have always wanted to fly since I was a child, and have been an enthusiastic pilot ever since I gained my PPL in 1999. Since then, I have flown over 400 hours in fixed-wing, powered aircraft, and gained my night flying and aerobatics ratings. I have also flown around 100 hours in helicopters, as well as having been an Air Cadets gliding instructor for several years, on both the Grob 109B motorglider and the unpowered Viking glider. As of 2024, I have the privilege of owning my own 2 seat Vans RV-6A based at Westonzoyland Airfield, near Bridgwater. With a 180HP engine and 500kg empty weight, 'Fast Eddie' lives up to his name as a fast, fun and nimble aircraft, capable of visiting smaller airfield that other light aircraft cannot reach. I am currently building my flying experience as I work towards a number of additional ratings to expand my skills, but I always find it much more enjoyable flying with some good company. There is nothing I love more than to share my greatest passion in life with others, and now that most of my current friends have had their fill, I look forward to meeting new people and welcoming them to the experience! I normally fly from Westonzoyland, but I am also happy to pick up passengers from other airfields in the South-West (within reason).
