Description
We fly from the R.Ribble estuary and across Preston following the river past Clitheroe & Settle around the ‘back’ of Ingleborough and up to the rivers source near Ribblehead viaduct. Turning westward we pick up the R.Lune at Kirkby Lonsdale following the valley down past Hornby castle, the Crook O’Lune and over Lancaster castle to the estuary. Flying south down the edge of Morcambe bay we cross the R.Wyre estuary passing Blackpool Tower on our return to the airport.

Absolutely BRILLIANT experience. Ken was so lovely, calm, helpful, knowledgable... really delightful. He tweaked the flight plan so we could fly over specific places we wanted to see. He was flexible, communicated brilliantly before, during (and after when we'd forgotten something in the cockpit and had to go back to collect it). Lakes Windermere & Coniston Tour
Brilliant experience, Ken has very good local knowledge so kept a very good commentary going about everything we could see. He made sure that I knew what was happening and the importance of the communication with the air traffic controller. The flight was very smooth only a little turbulence from the mountains. The takeoff and landing were very gentle. Great experience which I would love to do again.

Ken was clearly a very experienced pilot. The flight was a gift for my wife’s 60th Birthday. He took time to explain everything about the operation of the plane along with rafts of information about what we could see as we flew towards the Lake District. We have flown before on holiday flights but nothing like this, time & money well spent. Can’t recommend highly enough. Brilliant!
