This would be a return same day trip to Islay. I would be happy to accompany you as you spend some time exploring the island before departing back to Prestwick. The distilleries all offer visitor tours and are only a short taxi ride from the airport. They all offer tasting opportunities ( I promise not to partake) Port Ellen is a lovely town offering sightseeing opportunities and a good place to have a light lunch or snack. Had an excellent day out today, from start to finish. From enquiring about the booking until meeting for the flight, we were kept up to date with information on the route, agreed meeting times with flexibility to move if something came up on flight day, weather/wind information leading up to the date.
