Pipistrel models

At the very end of the 1980s, Yugoslavia banned the ultralight civil aircraft. However, a manufacturer still sold motorized ULMs. To continue their passion without being spotted, pilots would fly when night began to fall. Having seen this spectacle on a number of occasions, the local inhabitants baptised them the pipistrelle, after the name of the bats which, also, come out at nightfall.

The Slovenian brand builds high-quality aircraft and often assures that its machines are also cost-effective.

Pipistrel is also very active in R&D, particularly in the field of electric and hybrid aviation in which the company is regularly rewarded.
