The Antonov An-2 from the manufacturer Antonov is one of the world's most well-known aircraft. It is the world's largest single-engine biplane. It weighs 1350kg and can carry up to 12 passengers. It is a true multi-purpose aircraft. In history, it has been used to transport paratrooper and passengers, to fight fires, for exploration purposes, weather surveys and agricultural work.
More than 18,000 planes of this model have been produced and delivered all over the world, but mainly in the Russia, Poland, China and Colombia. Few Antonov An-2 still fly in the UK.
