About Murphy Aircrafts

Founded in 1985 in Canada, Murphy Aircraft is a company manufacturing kits for civilian general aviation for amateur construction. The history of its creation is linked to its founder Darry Murphy, a mechanical engineer who had already designed a hang glider before the creation of Murphy Aircraft. Following an accident and during a long convalescence, Darryl Murphy decided to develop an ultralight biplane, the Renegade. Initially, this aircraft was intended for personal use. After numerous positive feedback on the aircraft and many production requests, Murphy officially founded Murphy Aircraft (originally Murphy Aviation). Over the years, the company perfected its iconic Renegade model until producing a new model, the Renegade Spirit. The company's latest model to date is the Murphy Radical Rebel, which incorporates bike racks on the wings.
