Fuji Heavy Industries, now known as Subaru Corporation, is a Japanese industrial group operating in aerospace and automotive sectors. Fuji traces its origins to the dismantling of Nakajima Aircraft Company at the end of World War II. The company was then reorganized and renamed Fuji Sangyō Co., Ltd. The first aircraft produced by Fuji was a Beechcraft T-34A in 1953. In 1958, the group flew the first Japanese jet aircraft since the end of World War II, known as the Fuji T-1. Fuji is also known for aircraft such as the Fuji T-7 or the Fuji TACOM.
