Description
Flight route depends on weather but most often through Fjordur on the coast of Iceland, then to Grimsey. Grimsey has good public airport where we land and hike a lift to the nearby village. During summer season time flies by fast watching the incredible bird life, stopping for a cup of coffee and chatting with the friendly people of the island. Trip duration can be extended as needed. Only one promise: this is a unforgettable place.

Flying since young boy in Isafjordur in the Westfjord of Iceland; mostly to remote airstrips and small airfields, transporting people and goods. Flying is a highly rewarding sport despite being a little on the expensive side, like most good things in life.

Hörður was most kind and his guiding and presence most enjoyable! Before the flight, we were able to discuss with him all the needed details and concerns, be that about weather or safety or other variables. We really appreciate this. Fantastisch, toller Flug, sehr freundlicher, kompetenter Pilot, wusste viel zu erzählen. Landung im Hochland war ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Mit Hördur als Pilot hatten wir immer ein gutes Gefühl, er vermittlte fliegerische Kompetenz. Besser geht kaum. Kann nur empfohlen werden.
